The Overview:

Gerco-FAS were contracted for the installation of Passive Fire Protection systems as per the Architect’s designs to ensure compliance in line with Belgian & European regulations. The project is an ancillary Water Tower Building supporting two Data Centers on a larger campus.

Project Highlights:

  • Working in confined spaces and around large equipment.
  • Engaging with the Project Architect and third party assessors to ensure compliance for bespoke firestopping solutions.
  • Developing solutions to provide compartmentation between internal concrete walls and external cladding system.
  • Installation of a specialized movement joint that allowed for integrity and insulation performance as per the design requirements.
  • Promoting strict QA/QC procedures to ensure quality aligns with the client’s expectations.
